15 Officers Like Qualities (OLQ)

Indian defence searches the candidates who have the maximum of the Officers like qualities in them.
There are 15 OLQ's , Officers like quality that are needed to become the officer in the Indian Defence.

OLQ is divided into 4 factors which are described below.

Factor 1 : PLANNING AND ORGANISING

1 : Effective Intelligence :- It includes intelligently solving the problem by answering "WHAT","WHY" and "HOW" with "WHEN " and "WHERE".

2 : Reasoning Ability :- Everything you do should have a reason.

3 : Organising Ability :- It includes organising anything within the limited time with available resources for successful result .

4 : Power of Expression :- One should express himself accurately and clearly.

Factor 2 : SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT

5 : Social Adaptability :- It includes " How to deal with people to make environment stable ".

6 : Co-Operation :- Give and take policy .

7 : Sense of Responsibility :- To do everything with discipline and sense of duty.

Factor 3 : SOCIAL EFFECTIVENESS

8 : Initiative :- It requires an gut feeling .

9 : Self Confidence :- Always ready to speak in group .

10 : Speed of Decision :- Take any decision quickly and stick to it .

11 : Ability to Influence an Group :- It includes self belief , power of expression and knowledge .

12 : Liveliness :- Create peaceful waves in mind .

Factor 4 : DYNAMICS

13 : Determination :- Just do it ,no matter what .

14 : Courage :- Take the risk without fear .

15 : Stamina :- Physical and mental stamina .


So these are the 15 OLQ's that is needed in an officer .It is believed that these qualities are in everyone but the intensity may little lower and more .

Indian coast guard ssb

Hello SSB candidates.

Are you preparing for the Indina coast guard ssb ?
well I must say the ssb of the indian coast guard is little different than the ssb of army, airforce and navy.

In army the intelligence test of the candidates is taken in the sheet provided and then the candidates go for the PPDT ( picture perception and discussion test)

But the way of conduction of ssb is little different for the coast guard

Here the screening has 2 rounds and every candidate has to clear those rounds.

In first round the candidates are given the OMR sheet and the questions will appear on the screen for a particlular time defined for different types of questions and candidates have to mark the correct answer in their OMR sheet .

Only those canidates who clears this screen test round goes for the PPDT .

Then Those who clears the PPDT are finally screened in.


Some questions that appears on screen
Type 1:- for 60 seconds , questions of age, blood relation etc
Type 2:- for 10 Seconds , questions on error finding in english sentence
Type 3:- for 30 Seconds , questions on mirror image of an object when rotated to some angle
Type 4:- for 10 seconds , questions on number of times a word appear in a line

ex- How many time the word G appeared in " kafdgegaereraergageraerge"
Answer -5

Some tips
1. One has to be very quick to solve and mark the questions as the time quickly passes while solving the answer.
2. If somehow one answer is missed to marked the candidates have to be very careful to mark the future answer in right oval as in a hurry the wrong oval could be filled
3. In group discussion and narration one should speak atleast 3-5 times with confidence and you are in.

What ,When ,Where, Why and How

These 5 factors are all that one need to think of during the SSB testing and interview.

As per a survey it was found that when we think for something for 1 secend before taking a decision it could be a disastrous decision ,similarly if we think for 1-2 minutes before taking a decision that could too be disastrous because in 1 second it is nearly impossible to think about anything and in 1-2 minute it has taken a lot of time and decision should be quickly taken.

So what is the best time to think before a decision is taken.

Well as per the survey one must give 5 to 15 seconds to think and decide .

Yes ,5-15 seconds.

But what can we think in these 5-15 seconds

well that is nothing but those 5 factors that I mentioned in the starting of the post .
What , when , where ,why and how.

These are also divided as per the priority
priority 1 : What , why and how
priority 2 when and where

And yes SSB is all about this .
You just think what , why and how and you will be solving all the obstacles and tasks in the ssb because we already knew the answer of when and where.

So friends to be a logical thinker one must think of what why and how .

Friends as we all know that the SSB is conducted to test the personality of a person to see if he is fit for the defence forces .

The first test is the psychology .

1. Som was the head officer of the disaster and management team .

He and his team decided to conduct an drill for the evecuation during the landslide.

They practised various strategies to rearch the people and to rescue them.

they also practised entering an house from all the possible ways to save the victims.

the female candidates were too given the training to enter the house from all the possble entreces,

Som motivated everyone to perform well in the tasks 

Finally the drill was conducted succesfully and they were confident to face the real situation,

2. Rakesh was final year engineering student and an active worker of the NSS.

Everyday from reading the newspaper and watching in the news he came to know about the rising crime agaist the women ,

So he disccuseed the matter in his NSS head quaters and finally it was decided to conduct an self defence session for the women,

Rakesh was assigned incharge of looking into the session.

He arranged an Karate teacher and invited the female students of this college to take part in the sessions.

Many easy to follow steps were taught and drills were conducted to teach the students the skills of self defence,

Every female student learned the ways and started feeling more secured .

All about SSB

Hello candidates ,

My todays post is about the SSB .
well in short I would like to say that it is nothing but an test of your personality.

You are tested as per
1. What you think (Phycology test)
2. What you speak ( Interview)
and
3. What you do ( Group task )

The accessors looks for the officers like qualities in you .

One thing I must say that they are not looking for an Officer but they are looking for the persons who can become an officer by doing the traning . Or who is most eligible person to get and survive the training to become the officer.

So if you behave like an officer you will surely get rejected .But you should show a behaviour that justify that you can become an officer on giving the proper training to you .

Some tips that I would like to provide is
1. Be calm and sincere
2. Listen to the instruction properly , but only listening is not enough one must follow them too properly.
3. dont get over excited ( You may get sometime)
4. Dont be Hopeless:- There are always the chances
5. Try again and again :-  have seen people getting dishearted even after there first chance also I have seen people getting recommending in their last chance. So never get dishearted .
6. DOnt listen to anyone as some people tries to demoralise you to reduce the compeition.

On day when Ravi was preparing to go for his college he heard an knock on his door,
Checking the door he comes to know that the neibour got an heart attack and needed to be transfered to the hospital .

Ravi arranged an vehicle and with the help of family members he put the neaibour on the vehicle and took him to the hospital.
Taking him to the ICU he admits him.

Finally he brings the medicines that the doctor asks him to bring and after the treatment he gets back to his college .

That was an story about the medical groun , then one can create an story about the career and marriage of someone .
some problem related to home .

This picture has so many stories , all you need is to focus on one and be quick while writing the story for this TAT.

Story for tat:
Sohan was going to his college and on the way h saw a boy riding a bicycle in the wrong direction and met with an accident by a car.

Looking to the situation he quickly ran towards the boy and checked for the injuries.
Asking the car driver to take him to the hospital ,he goes with the boy and took him to the nearest hospital .
After the doctors gave the boy first aid , Sohan called the parents of the boy and he also motivated the boy to learn the traffic rules as it could have caused serious accidents .

Finally the parents of boy arrived and Sohan moved back to his college .

Story of screening picture:

Ramesh parent organised the pooja on the occasion of birthday of their younger son.

Ramesh was given the task to make the necessary arrangments for the pooja.

Ramesh went to tentwala ,booked the tent ,he arranged the catering service, generator, chairs for the event.

He helped in installing the tents and invited the guest for the pooja.

He made the proper sitting arrangements and guest were seated and "pooja" was started.

After the pooja was conducted, Ramesh with the help of his friends distributed the prasad to everyone and everyone went back to their home.

Story 2 of screening picture :

There was an calamity in the near by area of Ram's viallge,

Ram took some people and went to the site .

he and his colleages helped the people and moved them to the safe place.

Ram with the help of villagers and authority arranged the food for the affected persons and medical facility was provided to the injured people .

Ram then arranged the tranport vehicles to move the people to the shelter homes and hospital .

Finally the people were moved to the shelter homes safely.
